Super fun Tuesday!

FINALLY! (lol, I feel like I start a lot of posts off like this)I got out of the house yesterday with a long lost friend. We left at about noon and ran a couple of errands first. We went to the college (which I have learned she is now enrolled in which I am soooo happy about!)and tried to get one of her books. It was almost like deja vu from when we went there last spring/summer when I was trying to get her to register with me. After that we went to Meijer's and bought her a beach towel and some waters for us. She was starving and I hadn't eaten yet, so we went through the drive-thru at McD's and sat in the parking lot to eat real quick. Then off to the beach we went!

We got there at about one and it was beautiful. Granted it was scorching hot, but the breeze felt nice, until we layed down. After searching out a perfect spot on the sand (one that did NOT have seagull poop all over it, lol) we layed out and put lotions on. I, stupidly, wanted to tan so I didn't use sunblock, which is my usually. But we lost track of time gabbing and next thing we know we look at the clock and it's almost four! Low and behold, I am burned from head to toe. But that was not the end of our day yet...

After the beach we go for Starbucks (very expensive) because she had never really had Starbucks, when she had told me that I almost had a heart attack! I ordered a Peppermint-Java Chip Frappicino and she got a Caramel one. AND as we were waiting they said they had double made someones strawberry shake order and gave the other one to us for free! So we shared it.

Then we went and window shopped at the Lighthouse Mall, gabbing the whole time. Then back home I went lol. I was exhausted and happy and burned lol. The pain finally started creeping in. I was smiling all night long and made burgers for the hubby who kept saying he was "starving" lol.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I took my camera with us but never took pictures. Why would I do this? lol, my brain must have been fried from the sun! lol...

Finally some warm weather...

Today it was finally warm! The sun was out and it was nice and dry. It reminded me of Texas. I ended up laying outside for about an hour, then I had to go to work (always when there's good weather!). Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter!

Time for a Little Change....

I was getting bored with how this blog looked, so I changed it up a bit.

First Dress Fitting

I went to my first dress fitting at Davids Bridal, and I must say I am not please. The alterations manager was a B**ch. So was just over the top rude and mean. On a positive note, the young girl who was actually doing the measuring and such for my dress was very nice and understanding. What sucks is that none of the alterations are covered in the price of the dress, and they don't tell you this when you buy the dress. So now you have to shell out an arm and a leg for alterations. Oh the stress of the dress....




On another positive note, I had gone with my grandmother, mother, and two of my younger sisters (both bridesmaids). They kept me laughing the whole way there and back! We even stopped for hot dogs, which were delicious!

We Finally have a living room

Okay Okay, I'm a bit late on this post, about 2 weeks late, lol. So we were so tired of always having to sit in the bedroom, we finally created a living room in the spare back room we have. We found the couch at under $100 at a thrift store, it is so cool! First of all, its two units that hook together to form the couch. They both fully recline as well. The only downer to this couch is that it is polyester-like or nylon-like material so that every time a drop of water or moisture on it, it leaves a watermark until it gets throughly scrubbed. So annoying.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Yesterday was my 20th birthday! I am outta the teens now! lol... Hubby was soooo cute all day. First thing in the morning he had a nice breakfast cooked and ready for me the moment I woke up. It was so delicious! Then he let me lounge around all day in my pjs and each time I tried to get up, he would jump up and go get/do whatever it was that I wanted. He also had decorated the bathroom mirror for me, he wrote (in my lipstick, lol) I love you and Happy 20th Birthday! It was so cute! And the last wonderful thing he did was he actually (by himself) baked me a birthday cake, 2 tiers!







It was german chocolate cake and dark chocolate frosting. It was tasty!

All in All it was a good birthday!
