Not all of this is needed during certain seasons of the year (such as the cold medicine and pepto) and I usually like to get way over the recommended 3 month stock on these items because if something were to happen, HHB items are a lot more expensive than food, and you can get assistance for food. It's like my "Just in Case" scenero that plays through my mind for these things. I am also sure I have forgotten things from both of these lists and will update as needed.

Okay, so since DH now is employed again I am hopping back up on the coupon train. I loved couponing and how much money it saves! Plus, when DH was unemployed, our stockpile came in handy! So I have decided to put up my lists of what our little family needs to have in our stockpile for about 3 months or less. It varies sometimes. I will also be posting our Home/Beauty Needs list too. This is just to show an example of how to set a goal for your stockpile growth I know that it's gonna be another month and a half before I can seriously get down to business with this, but I can slowly rebuild it now to get it to where it is steady and I can wait for the good sales to come. After I start my couponing back up in full force I should have this stocked in about 2-3 months. Not bad, depending on how rusty I am and what kind of coupons start coming out in the paper/mail. And during this rebuilding stage before the serious couponing starts up, anything that I can get dirt cheap I will purchase with coupons (such as common items you can find at Aldis or Save-A-Lot and of course store brands. That way i won't have too far to go when I seriously start up couponing again. And remember: these amounts our based on my families needs, yours may be greatly different. Hope this helps!

Missing Children and Undeserving Parents

Okay, I know this one may push a few buttons with some, and I do welcome all feedback, these are just my opinions.

Here's the story behind this rant: Today at work a little girl (couldn't have been more than 4 yrs old) came crying up to my station. I asked her what was wrong and she said she lost her mommy. I asked her what her name was and she told me and right before I could page her, her mom came walking up, not even worried or sorry and yells at the girl then walks away. I am sorry, but for one, I would NEVER let my children run around a building by themselves (especially at that young of an age). Yeah, sometimes kids get away and like to go play, but as a mom wouldn't you go right after them looking for them? Wouldn't you be worried sick as a mom when you can't find your child??? I know I would be crying and running around like crazy looking for her.

When you have a child, you become their guardian. You are given the blessing and responsibility of being the caretaker, the protector, and the nurser of said child(ren).

Why is it people who do not care about children are the ones who get blessed with children? There are sooooo many people, good people, who want/deserve/ are trying to have children but they can't and yet their are people that don't want/care/abuse their children and who call them "accidents" and tell them they ruined their parents lives/marriages/figure/etc (and yes I have heard this both at work from customers having problems controlling their children and from when i am out on the town and a child is crying because of whatever reason). Is it really the child's fault. No. The child did not make itself. Two people got together and created the baby. Don't blame the baby.

I am gonna stop this one here, cause I could just on and on about this.

Any feedback/thoughts on subject are welcome.

Finding the Energy

It is so hard sometimes to wake up and find the energy to clean, cook, and go to work. Today won't be an exception, so my timeline will be like this:

Eat breakfast
Clean Living room
Clean Bathroom
Clean Bedroom
Get Ready for Work
Eat Lunch
Pack Dinner
Ensure hubby has dinner
Go to work
Come home (Hubby will be asleep since it's late)
Do Dishes
Eat snack (if hungry)
Shower
Watch T.V./ Go to Bed

Well, I better get started. Hope everyone has a good day (including me)!

Dinner Tonight

Tater-Tot Casserole

Once again I found a recipe and tweaked it to my families liking, and it was delicious!

Ingredients

1 Bag of Tater-Tots
1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Can of Green Beans
1 Slim can of French Fried Onions
Shredded Cheese (Colby and Jack is what I used)
Block of Cheese
Bacon Bits
1 Pound of Ground Beef

1. Brown the ground beef then drain and cook the soup as usual. Preheat you oven to the specifications of the tater-tot bag (mine was 400 F )
2. In a casserole dish place the ground beef first, then the soup over it, then the green beans (well drained), then sprinkle the French fried onions to your liking, then cut strips of the block cheese and place it on the casserole evenly (but does not have to cover the top), then place the tater-tots on top spreading them evenly so that they do not overlap and that they cover every inch of it.
3. Place in the oven until the tater-tots start to turn brown. When they start to turn, take them out and liberally sprinkle the top with the shredded cheese and bacon bits (however much you want). Place back in the oven until the cheese has melted.
4. Enjoy!

Here's one of the many places you can find the original recipe at :

Coffee Frappe's at home

Step-One: Brewing the Coffee

Step Two: Pouring Coffee into bowl to cool

Step Three: Putting Coffee into Freezer

Final Product: Yummy!

Ingredients:

Cold Coffee (about 1/3 cup of brewed coffee, more if you want it stronger)
Syrup (Any ol' chocolate or caramel syrup will do)
Two Glasses Full of Ice
Milk
Sugar (Recipes don't call for this on the internet, but I add it for sweetness)

1. Brew the coffee, put it in a bowl or cup and place it in the freezer until cold to the touch.
2. In a blender, place the ice, then the milk (fill the milk to just below the ice line), add the sugar (however sweet you want it), syrup, and coffee. Blend until the ice is smooth, but still present.
3. Pour in glasses, top with whipped cream and a little bit of syrup (optional).

Here's a site where you can find the original, without my additions:
